NYC DYCD COMPASS Programs in Public Schools RFP

We understand that changes to afterschool programming can create uncertainty for students, families and school communities, especially when families have built relationships with a previous provider. On May 15, 2026, the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) released the outcome of its competitive RFP process for afterschool programs in NYC public schools. As a result of DYCD’s process, many schools in NYC have been matched with a new provider of afterschool programs.

NYJTL looks forward to developing partnerships with each new school community, including families, educators, and administrators. NYJTL is currently meeting with school leadership so that we can ensure our programming is aligned with the priorities and needs of students and their families. After these meetings, NYJTL will communicate with families about its program plans in partnership with school leadership.

In the interim, we are providing a copy of an email responding to parent outreach below as well as a brochure on our ACES program here.
