After-School Site Director (Full-Time): The After-School Site Director is responsible for the overall operations and success of the after-school program, providing leadership and supervision for NYJTL staff, communicating with the school's principal and staff and the NYJTL main office, and keeping the highest priority on the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of the school-age children (6 years – 14 years) in the program. |
Activity Specialist (Part-Time): The part-time Activity Specialist is responsible for the creation, planning, and/or implementation of a structured, content-specific activity. Activity Specialists supervise, lead, and engage a group of up to 25 school-age children (6 years – 14 years). S/he will also assist in the planning of events and other duties, at the discretion of the Site Director. Activity Specialists work up to 25 hours per week. |
Tennis Instructor (Part-Time): The part-time Tennis Instructor is responsible for all on-court tennis activities including court set up, instructional programs, practice, and play. The Tennis Instructor must be able to demonstrate stokes and grips and convey them to children of various ages and skill levels, in a fun and safe manner. Tennis Instructors work up to 25 hours per week. |
Human Resources Internship (Unpaid): The Human Resources intern provides administrative support (filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, etc.) to the Human Resources Department. Other tasks may include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining personnel files, checking references, responding to inquiries, and creating employment packets. |
Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid): By volunteering your time at the New York Junior Tennis League, you will be contributing to the organization’s mission of bringing the joys of tennis and education to New York City’s underserved children. Volunteers are needed to assist at the League’s various events, during our programs, and in an administrative/clerical capacity at our main office. |
