NYJTL Recognizes New York City Leaders Howard Lutnick and John McEnroe
Two iconic leaders, Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick and former world No. 1 tennis professional John McEnroe, were honored for their singular contributions to their respective communities by New York Junior Tennis League yesterday at its 26th annual NYJTL Leadership luncheon before a crowd of nearly 450 supporters at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Manhattan.
“We are honored to present Howard and John with our 2011 Leadership Awards,” said Dr. Deborah Antoine, NYJTL President and CEO. “They are native New Yorkers who both have made a personal commitment to helping others. Through their affirmative actions, many lives are being changed and our city is a better place to live.”
NYJTL donors rallied during the live auction handled by celebrity auctioneer C.K. Swett. Priceless items included a Davis Cup trip for two to Switzerland, including VIP seating, hotel and airfare; four tickets, hotel and airfare to the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami; golf at Maidstone Club in East Hampton; four tickets to the 2012 US Open President’s Suite donated by USTA President John Vegosen; and a one-hour doubles match against brothers John and Patrick McEnroe.
NBC and Tennis Channel commentator and longtime McEnroe broadcast partner, Ted Robinson was master of ceremonies.
About The Annual Leadership Awards Luncheon

Through the generosity of the Benenson family, who has underwritten the Luncheon for the past 26 years, all donations will directly benefit NYJTL.
