New York City’s finest tennis players and enthusiasts came together for NYJTL's Doubles By The Dunes at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club.
Doubles By the Dunes is a special event fundraiser that benefits NYJTL programs. This year, NYJTL raised $38,000 for NYJTL tennis programs and educational services.
2011 participants included: NYJTL Board Members Craig Effron, Kyle Kliegerman, Rob Rahr, and Matt Snyder, NYJTL President and CEO, Deborah MacFarlane Antoine; former #1 singles player for Upenn Jason Pinsky, and other former top collegiate tennis players.
About NYJTL Doubles By The Dunes
Players and attendees enjoy an afternoon of tennis competition, lunch, drinks and a Calcutta auction. Entry is $1,000 per doubles team and each team is auctioned at the Calcutta. Teams are “handicapped” to ensure fair competition and “bisques” can be used strategically as points during game-changing moments. Half of the total pot benefits NYJTL and the remaining half is presented to the “owners” of the top four winning teams.
