The Alumni & NYJTL Family Celebration invites past participants and those whose lives have been touched by NYJTL programs and services to celebrate at the West Side Tennis Club each September.
The Annual Leadership Awards Luncheon invites supporters to help raise funds for NYJTL programs and to honor the recipient of the Leadership Award. The event is held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
Speakers include NYJTL participants, former world-class tennis champions, and prominent and influential members of the media and community.
New York City’s finest tennis players and enthusiasts come together for NYJTL Doubles By The Dunes at the East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club each August.
Players and attendees enjoy an afternoon of tennis competition, lunch, drinks and a Calcutta auction. Proceeds benefit New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL), a nonprofit organization that provides free tennis and educational programs to inner-city youth.
EmblemHealth is the title sponsor of the EmblemHealth Bronx Open, an $50,000 USTA Sanctioned Challenger women’s tennis tournament. The tournament is played at Crotona Park, in the Bronx, each August.
The EmblemHealth Bronx Open welcomes the National Junior Doubles Championships. Sixty-four teams of the top-ranked boys and girls ages 14-16 from across the nation compete, including many from New York City and New York State, Long Island, New Jersey and Connecticut.
New York Junior Tennis & Learning hosts the Mayor’s Cup All-Scholastic Tennis Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, Corona Park, each June.
The Mayor’s Cup is the largest scholastic tennis event in the United States, second only to the US Open in the number of players competing, bringing together more than 600 participants from New York City’s public, private and parochial schools competing in 11 different events.
New York Junior Tennis & Learning hosts the QuickStart Tennis Championships at Crotona Park, the Bronx, each August. The top Aces Clubs Program participants compete for the title.
The Summer Gala with the Stars is held each August at the historical Central Park Boathouse. Attendees enjoy gondola rides, live music, dinner, dancing, and a silent auction.
Proceeds benefit NYJTL programs, the Ashe Endowment for the Defeat of AIDS, and other local AIDS charities.
The Diamond Doubles event takes place in February and is NYJTL's women's tournament featuring round robin doubles tennis and lunch at CityView Racquet Club, a private members-only tennis and squash club located in Long Island City, NY.
Players and attendees enjoy a day of high level doubles, lunch, and a variety of activities including, a Zamba class, fitness workout, handwritting analysis, or a wine tasting. Proceeds benefit New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL), a nonprofit organization that provides free tennis and educational programs to inner-city youth.
