Aces Clubs Program Education Specialist (Part-Time):  We are seeking Education Specialists for NYJTL’s out-of-school-time programs in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.  Education Specialists are responsible for coordinating all educational activities and developing curriculum and reviewing lesson plans.  They must provide hands-on training for tutors and staff.  Education Specialists must have knowledge of after-school programming and be familiar with the mandates of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOH).

Aces Clubs Program Activity Specialist (Part-Time):  We are seeking Activity Specialists for NYJTL’s out-of-school-time programs in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.  Activity Specialists must have a strong interest in working with youth and have expertise in one or more disciplines or content-specific program activities or subjects such as dance, drama, sports (e.g. tennis, basketball, soccer, etc.), or other activity or subject that enriches the experiences of children in the NYJTL program and helps them stay interested and do better in school.  Activity Specialists must be able to develop lesson plans in their area(s) of expertise and reinforce learning with the aid of Group Leaders. They also must be skilled in engaging children so that no child is left behind.  Activity Specialists should have knowledge of after-school programs and the mandates of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOH).

Aces Clubs Program Group Leader (Part-Time): We are seeking Group Leaders for NYJTL’s out-of-school-time programs in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.  Group Leaders are responsible for monitoring and managing up to 30 children in and out of the classroom with the assistance of other staff.  Group Leaders should be keen observers of children and able to engage them in activities, whether sports- or educationally-oriented.  Group Leaders are responsible for helping to execute in a quality manner a pre-designed curriculum and be excellent team players with Activity Specialists, who specialize in a variety of subjects geared toward enriching the lives of children in the NYJTL program.  Ideal candidates will be highly-motivated, organized and able to manage large groups of children.  They should have knowledge of after-school programs and the mandates of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) and Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOH).  While Group Leaders are responsible for 30 children, they will be part of a program with up to 150 enrolled students.

Tennis Instructor (Part-Time):  The part-time Tennis Instructor is responsible for all on-court tennis activities including court set up, instructional programs, practice, and play.  The Tennis Instructor must be able to demonstrate stokes and grips and convey them to children of various ages and skill levels, in a fun and safe manner.  Tennis Instructors work up to 25 hours per week.


Human Resources Internship (Unpaid):  The Human Resources intern provides administrative support (filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry, etc.) to the Human Resources Department.  Other tasks may include, but are not limited to, scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining personnel files, checking references, responding to inquiries, and creating employment packets. 


Volunteer Opportunities (Unpaid):  By volunteering your time at the New York Junior Tennis & Learning, you will be contributing to the organization’s mission of bringing the joys of tennis and education to New York City’s underserved children.  Volunteers are needed to assist at the League’s various events, during our programs, and in an administrative/clerical capacity at our main office.
